Host Jeff Probst returns to oversee challenges

CW’s The Flash is undoubtedly one of the longest-running superhero shows on television. It all started with Arrow, and the universe then expanded into multiple DC shows. The Flash is a proud member of the Arrowverse, so it’s no wonder that the series has been running for multiple seasons.

The Tv show returned with the 8th season in November 2021 and gave us five episodes. Now, fans are waiting to watch Part 2 of Season 8; well, the wait is almost over as a new episode of The Flash is only a few hours away.

When we last left Team Flash, they’d successfully put an end to Despero’s reign of terror on Central City. Barry now has the iconic gold boots thanks to Chester and his nemesis, Eobard, is without his speed. We doubt we’ve seen the last of the Reverse Flash’s dastardly agenda to make Barry’s life a living hell but for now the speedster has been put on the back burner.

Surging to the forefront of the story are Bart and Nora West Allen. The siblings were featured in the last moments of episode 5, “Armageddon Part 5,” in a picture at CCPD. The problem? The picture was taken back when Eddie Thawne was alive which means the speedsters went to the past.

It’s unclear why that was, but we do know the timeline is once again about to be thrown for a loop. When will we see episode 6 of The Flash season 8? Here’s what we know!

The Flash season 8 returns tonight with episode 6, “Impulsive Excessive Disorder,” an episode that drops us into the main plot of the season. To recap, we last left off on “Armageddon Part 5,” the end of the crossover event that saw the Reverse Flash losing his powers as a consequence of trying to steal Barry’s life.

The episode, however, didn’t end with this series long Big Bad being put out of commission for the time being. We were briefly reunited with Bart and Nora West-Allen via picture in the final moments of the crossover. For some reason they were in the past which means we’re in for yet another mishap with the timeline.

While we don’t know if Iris’ time sickness will be brought back into the plot starting with this episode, we do know that it’ll come into the fold at some point this season since that storyline has yet to wrap. Until then, be prepared for some blasts from the past to make an appearance including Eddie Thawne.

Here’s when “Impulsive Excessive Disorder” premieres along with its synopsis and how to watch the episode online!

Picking up where season 7 left off, after returning home from a visit for their parent’s vow renewal, Bart (guest star Jordan Fisher) and Nora (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy) quickly realize that things are not exactly as they left them. The duo race to repair any fissures in the timeline and restore everything back to the way it is supposed to be.

Of course, the release time will vary depending on your region, so here’s the exact timing of the show for these regions:

Pacific Timing: 5 PM PST
Central Timing: 7 PM CST
Eastern Timing: 8 PM EST
British Timing: 2 AM BST

It's almost time, people. Time for what, you ask? Survivor! It's time for Survivor! More specifically, Survivor 42. The season premiere of CBS' franchise kicks off Wednesday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, but you don't have to wait until then to get your first taste. You can satisfy your insatiable reality TV appetite right here and right now. That's because we've got the first four minutes of the Survivor 42 premiere ready and waiting.

This sneak peek of the new season features everything you could possibly want: Jeff Probst strolling on a beach, a dude bragging about his world record in pull-ups (unfortunately, not the diaper version), and folks reading from the classic Survivor script of how they will either be much more fearsome than anyone expects or are completely unequipped to deal with the elements. (Drama. And Comedy. Together!)

But self-assured bravado and comedic self-deprecation aside, what really intrigues us about these first four minutes — beyond Probst not wearing his super-dope orange baseball hat — is that it seems those sneaky Survivor producers are at it again! According to the host, the new season will feature many of the same twists of season 41, however, some will be modified.

Survivor 42 will continue in Fiji which would be the tenth-consecutive season at this location. For those new to the show, Survivor starts out with 18 contestants living on a secluded island having to fend for themselves when it comes to food, water and shelter. While literally trying to survive the conditions, they also compete in challenges that could feature rewards from a day’s worth of bottled water, a steak dinner or the ever-important immunity from the next voting session.

Oh, forgot to mention, it is also a competition. The 18 contestants are split into tribes in these competitions and holding your team back or underperforming could have you up for elimination at the tribal meeting. Once enough contestants are eliminated, the two tribes merge and then challenges are competed on the individual level and it is quite literally survival of the fittest.

The exciting action for the 42nd running of the show kicks off on Wednesday where we will meet the contestants and likely see an elimination or two to set the tone for the new season. With the constraints of the pandemic, the contestants for Survivor 42 have no idea about the new twists that were introduced in Survivor 41 so it will be exciting to see them unearth the mystery in tandem with the audience.

The faster pace will be more punishing, plus food is scarce and there will be limited supplies and resources.

The cast will once again be very diverse. In 2020, CBS committed to making the cast 50 percent Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Host Jeff Probst returns to oversee challenges and tribal councils.

Survivor 42 will begin with three tribes: Ika, Taku and Vati. Hidden immunity idols will be in play, as will the "Beware" advantages introduced last season. And there may be other new twists in store for the players.
