Thirty years after Kostya Tszyu made his boxing debut in Australia, his son Nikita’s professional entrance has been cleared for lift off. Nikita, the brother of boxing sensation Tim, easily made weight, hitting the scales at 68.9 kgs. The 24-year-old will take on Aaron Stahl (2-0-1) at the Fortitude Valley Music Hall on Thursday night. Stahl also cleared weigh-in, coming through at 69.62, and said he was “fit and mentally strong” and was ready to “test” Tszyu’s skills. Tszyu, who was inspired by his brother’s clinical fight last November and didn’t see himself becoming an architect because he didn’t like talking, lived up to his reputation.
