Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle
Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be something that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or a major healing. So, that which was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your life since it seems to be these days in terms of the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So once we discuss the final stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in many of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to building a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. Then the good wind comes along and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory;acim authors
It absolutely was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It surely comes down to the essence of who's my cousin? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that one?So you're asking the question, “When someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's trying to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, which will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That's precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize your head to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What kind of things do you invest in, these days?
