Korea is a great place to date in Asia. There are many possibilities out there for western guys to find a good partner in the "Land of Morning Calm." While Korea might be known as the "Land of Morning Calm", it says nothing of the night time in cities like Seoul and Busan which are anything but calm. Nightlife in Korea is all about going out, drinking and having a good time; and, it is the perfect way to meet a girl.

When I first came to Seoul two years ago, I had a preconception that Korea would be very traditional and meeting Korean girls would be a bit of a problem. While sometimes that is the case, there are many more times the opportunity to find a date. Korean women are for the most part very open to meeting a western guy. They have been watching American TV their whole lives, and some have developed preference and curiosity for western males.

The one obvious drawback is the language. Growing up, I'm guessing not many western guys from Canada and the US had the opportunity to learn Korean and will not know any upon arriving in the country. This will narrow the field slightly, but fear not, there is good news.

Korea is growing fast, and so are the numbers of English speakers. Korean girls start learning English in elementary school and many of them have a firm grasp on the language by the time they are in their 20s. These women would love to get a chance to practice their English. Even if they are not interested in dating you, more times than not, a friend of theirs would like to.

Aside from the general women population having decent English skills, there are certain places in the city where English is very common and women going to these places are there because they like interacting with foreigners. It gets even better, women coming to these places typically speak fluently.

A third option for men wanting to date in Korea is a bit trickier, but will pay off loads in the long run is learning to speak Korean! This is a lock and will give Korean speaking foreigners instant access to the whole population. While it will take a few months to begin to get a handle on the language, it's value cannot be overstated. Learning to speak the local language is very attractive to women!

If you are planning for a trip to Seoul, perhaps the best time to travel is during Spring and Autumn where the temperatures there are most comfortable. Avoid going there during summer as the weather can be very hot and unbearable. During winter, the city can be very beautiful as it will be filled with ice and snow but some might not be able to withstand the arctic conditions.

There are many big and small hotels in Seoul, some are so small and not well-known that their names are not reflected on maps, travel guides and websites and it might be a problem finding the hotel. Other big hotels can be quite expensive. Be careful when choosing the right hotel to stay when visiting Seoul.

I recently came across the Hamilton Hotel and I find it inexpensive and well-suited for family trips. The 9-floor Hamilton Hotel is located in the heart of Seoul at the centre of Itaewon international shopping district. Itaewon is well-known for the vast variety of restaurants. You can easily find German, Indian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and even Thai restaurants almost everywhere along the streets. If you prefer to dine in the hotel, there are Korean, Western and Japanese restaurants to choose from.

Near to this hotel is the subway line number 6 which makes it conveniently accessible by public transport. Bus stops are also within walking distance. For those who enjoy nightlife, there are many restaurants, pubs and bars in the near proximity of the hotel.

Within the hotel, you can easily reach out to the outdoor swimming pool, sauna room, business centre and fitness room. As for the guest rooms, they are simple, no frills but comfortable and is generally good enough 레깅스룸 for most travellers. The services offered by the hotel staff are good and professional.

The Hamilton Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, with subway and bus stop within walking distance. There are also lots of restaurants, pubs, shopping area and many other tourist attractions in the near vicinity. The Hamilton Hotel might be a perfect match for those who prefer to spend their money on exploring the city and at the same time do not want to spend too much on accommodations. After all, most travellers only need to stay in an inexpensive but comfortable hotel with basic accommodation needs as their main purpose is to experience the city, not spending their time in the hotel room.
