When I paint, I am not trying to catch the similarity of a landscape or figure. My subject is the painting itself. In spite of this, some audiences immediately try to determine an image they can name in my art. Not that seeing things in abstract paintings is a criminal offense, even if the artist didn't put them there. However you miss an opportunity to see more if you invest all your energy attempting to turn the painting into something you can name, like a figure or flower or landscape.

Now stand back and see how your composition unfolds, how the shapes take type and end up being fascinating in and of themselves, without reference to your topic. Keep playing with your structure, including and subtracting shapes, customizing color, strengthening lines. Follow what draws you in, scrap what does not. Work quick, and then stop and study what you have.

Cubism often depicts the essence of the subject, not always how it in fact looks. Thus offering different perspectives of the provided subject, but dissecting it truly. Take Pablo Picasso as an example.

By painting or drawing abstractly, you can essentially free yourself from the usual rules and constraints that must be complied with in other forms of art. While technical, expressive, painting and some artistic abilities are required in Abstract Art, there is a lot more room for free-flowing creativity and individuality. Abstract Art likewise provides itself to spontaneous expression in a manner that nothing else can. Some extremely appealing elements in abstract art consist of: a chance not to follow the more standard and accepted method of doing things, the stimulation of experimenting, discovering, and developing. It's an excellent way to open your own talent.

I looked over this question with an optimistic vision, in some way pre-raphaelistic, and not in a downhearted, post-modern philosophical view (If post-modern, I would have required to think upon 's last love as the term itself states: last.so, the very last of Don Juan's loves. If he knew it is the last one and then believe what would have been his feelings about, as. well. I digress. let's return to abstraction in literature the main story.

Some may call these Dubuffet paintings semi-abstract - but I do not. For me there is no such thing - either the picture does not represent anything. or it does - no matter how fundamental.

For an artist, there is absolutely nothing more rewarding than making your art and sharing those creations with the world - except maybe, likewise earning a living from doing what you enjoy!

If you are feeling a strong feeling of any kind, attempt expressing it straight through color, line and form on the canvas. However keep in mind that whatever approach you use to start an abstract painting, you'll require to take notice of composition, interest, energy, and focus in order to complete it effectively.
