The best TFT Set 6 comps as of patch 11.24: Top meta builds

TFT Set 6 is finally here. There’s plenty of Gizmos & Gadgets to try and wrap your head around, so finding what’s meta is hard. Fear not, we’ve got a list of the best TFT Set 6 comps and top meta builds — as of patch 11.24 — you should try.

TFT Set 6 is bringing plenty of new ways to play Riot’s hit auto-battler. With a diverse roster of champions and traits, plus the intricate Hextech Augments system, no two games will ever feel the same.

In TFT Set 6, a lot of different comps are viable — but it’s all dependent on your Augments. If you hit amazing Augments for a specific composition, you can freely chase it.

Some comps, however, will always be better than others. These comps listed below are the most flexible and don’t rely on good Augment rolls every game, which means you can freely flex between them to get a top 4, or win.

Without further ado, here’s the best TFT Set 6 comps, as of patch 11.24.

Best TFT Set 6 comps in patch 11.24

Akali-Shaco Syndicate

Syndicate went from total meme comp to overpowered in the space of one patch. The changes to the trait with the resistance increase at 3 and 5 units has made it a lot more viable to run without hitting perfect Augments to reach 7 Syndicate.

Akali and Shaco are the perfect one-two combo, with Shaco dealing consistent DPS while Akali bursts carries and tanks alike (she was also buffed in patch 11.24). You can hold Akali items on Twisted Fate early, meaning you don’t drop from 5 Syndicate back down to 3 (which is a huge spike).

Both being Assassins mean they can activate the trait without having to splash any other units too, although you can choose to run a 4 Assassin variant (Ekko and Talon are good splash options) if that’s what you hit.

From there, it’s all about utility. Braum and Darius activate Bodyguard, while Zyra and Janna activate Scholar. Seraphine is an all-round great supportive unit, and with Taric you can easily get 2 Socialite. If you get a Syndicate spat too, you can drop Darius and Taric to play Galio instead.

Cho’Gath-Malzahar Mutant

Mortdog’s favorite unit of all time, Malzahar, was always going to be strong in TFT Set 6. Call it dev bias, but with the Mutant trait, Malzahar is one of the best carries right now.

“I’m biased, my favorite is Malzahar with Hextech Gunblade and 5 Mutant when you get the Astro variation. That way his mana cost is 20, he’s throwing DOTs everywhere, healing your team up,” the lead developer explained to Dexerto.Alongside Cho’Gath, who is dealing a ton of damage since his 11.24 update, Mutant is very much a viable reroll comp with the right buff.

You don’t need the Astro (Synaptic Web) variation of Mutant to make Malzahar viable though. Pretty much every Mutant choice — especially Metamorphosis (similar to Elderwood) or Voracious Appetite (similar to Redeemed) — are incredibly good, dishing out tons of damage.

Running Malzahar and Cho’Gath alongside Dr. Mundo, Kog’Maw, and a fifth Mutant (preferably Sion with Mutant Spat, but otherwise Kai’Sa), you have a solid back and front line. You can opt to run Viktor to get a second Arcanist on the board late to really ramp the Malzahar’s damage, or a Socialite like Seraphine for the spotlight hex if it’s well-positioned.

Urgot Carry

Urgot is one of the most flexible carries in TFT Set 6. He can pretty much stand alone, and as long as you’ve got 2 Twinshot, he will churn through frontlines like nobody’s business.

That is why he’s good as a secondary carry in Mutant comps (more on that below), but he also shines brightly when emphasis is put on him. Once you hit Runaan’s Hurricane and Infinity Edge, he becomes nigh-on unstoppable. Depending on enemy frontlines, Giant Slayer (against high-health) or Last Whisper (against high-armor) are great third options.

If you hit the right Chemtech Augments, you can opt to run this comp with 5 or 7 Chemtech instead of 4 Bruiser — just sub out Tahm Kench and Vi for Lissandra and Viktor. This is also a great adaptation if you’re facing a ton of AD comps.

As long as you have Mundo, Zac, Urgot, and a Twinshot partner (preferably Jinx), you can run any combination of units as you see fit to let Urgot shine.

Protector-Sniper Reroll

The Protector-Sniper Reroll comp you know from Set 3 is back, but with a different flavor. While it’s labelled “reroll”, there’s actually two ways to play it (and it all depends on what you hit).

The first, and easiest, way is with the simple reroll. With Graves, Garen, Kassadin, Caitlyn, and Kog’Maw making up the crux of the comp, you have to slowroll at Level 5 for three-stars or you’ll lose. Once you hit those though, push Malzahar for 3 Mutant, and then look for 4 Sniper.

If you’re being contested, you might choose to opt for the second sniper comp, focusing on Jhin. The Jhin comp relies on Miss Fortune as your second sniper, but revolves around having a strong frontline of Leona, Braum, and Yuumi, with plenty of healing from enchanters (and Scholar mana). It’s a much more expensive comp, and something you have to pivot into late after navigating the early game (you can hold Jhin items on an Assassin carry like Talon, or even a sniper like Kog’Maw).

Regardless of the flavor, Sniper is truly in the TFT meta come patch 11.24. Depending on your augments and early game, you can choose between easier-to-play Protector reroll, or the harder (but stronger) Jhin board.
