WHO Strongly Criticizes Paid Covid-19 Vaccines in Indonesia

The World Health Organization (WHO) criticized the Indonesian government's policy on the Gotong Royong Vaccine that was set. The head of the WHO's Immunization Program Unit, Dr Ann Lindstrand, emphasized that establishing a paid vaccine mechanism in the midst of this pandemic could create ethical problems and narrow people's access to vaccines. "It's important that every citizen has an equal chance of getting access to vaccinations. He also reminded that COVAX doses were delivered in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, and other institutions. "It may soon outpace the daily incidence, so we've seen a 44 percent increase in cases over the past week and a 71% increase in deaths," Ryan said.
