The internet has become an unavoidable part of our normal life. In this generation, you wouldn't find any office or institution that hasn't hired an internet connection. Access to information and exchange of communication are the two main reasons that make our generation thoroughly dependent on internet. You can get information by reading a book and also send messages via postal and courier services, but none can match the lightening speed of internet. Internet services have become cheap and more reliable which has further expanded its reach even in remote villages and countryside.

More than learning, people depend on internet for chatting with friends, sharing ideas and exchanging data. You can send applications, softwares, games, images, songs, videos and even movies using the file transfer system of your internet connection. You can have your own web space wherein you can upload a collection of files for your How to send large videos to view and share. Many people upload files in the form of images, photographs and favorite songs and videos so that others in their circle can enjoy them for free. While traveling people use portable internet devices to transfer files, images and messages to their friends and family.

There are different methods to upload and transfer a file over an internet application. Depending on the file type and size, you may experience limitations with certain file transferring platforms. Transferring files as an attachment to your mail is the easiest and safest option available. There are many mailing services that allow sizeable data transfer. But each service provider has their own set of regulations in this niche. For instance, Yahoo Mail allows you to send only 10 attachments with each mail. Plus, you cannot transfer more than 10 MBs at a time. If you try to attach a file larger than 10 MBs or attach several files totaling to more than 10 MBs, your mail transfer would fail instantly. However, with Gmail, which is a Google service, you can transfer up to 25 MBs at a time. But you cannot send software or games through Gmail because they fall under executable files' category.

From the above discussion, it is evident that you cannot send big files through email. However, you can divide your file into smaller denominations and attach as several mails. Alternatively, you can use compressing software to compress your file size. However, when it comes to certain media types, fragmentation is not possible. In such cases, email transfer becomes impossible. Therefore, people use alternative file transferring platforms for sending such large files.

There are websites that allow us to store and transfer huge files. The limits range from 500 MBs to 2000 MBs. The maximum size attachable may vary within this limit depending on the service provider.

Yet another option is direct data sharing or PC to PC transfer. The transfer will occur more rapidly in direct sharing. However, in such type of file transferring methods, your computer is shared with another user who can gain direct access to your files and folders. But this may hinder your privacy.
