It has been used in many significant structures and monuments dating long back. It was used as a stone for significant public places in the olden times. Marbles have been used mainly for flooring from the early times. It was common for people to adorn their imported marble floors with Marble Slabs. It was a symbol of grandeur. Using marbles in isolation like in earlier times, they can now be seen along with other elements like wooden panels, metals and even pieces of art. Because cheaper materials are available these days, people tend to use Marble only in selected areas of their homes.
