Are You Ready to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle
Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are always a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, that which was it?”a course in miracles
“Trust,” I said.
Consider your lifetime since it seems to be nowadays with regards to the story. How do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So once we talk about the final stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon many of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It's a lot like building a big house of cards, stacking on a single card following the other. Then a good wind arrives and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory;
It absolutely was this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon everything else; all those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness?
Are they really trustworthy? It really comes down to the essence of who is my cousin? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that one?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination.
This is an environment of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start off with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's referring to thoughts. First He's referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You can see he's trying to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What type of things would you purchase, nowadays?
