IOLS provides great additional training for Webelos Leaders taking their boys camping and anticipating their boys bridging to Boy Scouts. All the basic skills are found in the Boy Scout Handbook. Participants will camp out for two nights and need to bring a sleeping bag and tent. IOLS is the Outdoor requirement of the Position Specific training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmaster. To be considered a Trained Leader, this course is required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters who have not previously attended the Scout Leader Basic course. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) This training will help leaders understand and guide youth through possible problems as it relates to abuse. You will also learn about the issues you may face as a leader to help provide a safer environment for the crew members and to protect You MUST bring the following to the training on Friday Night: (This is your ticket into the training) 1. A current copy of your Youth Protection Certificate. MUST have TAKEN YPT2 (Your completion date must be dated 2/3/2018 or later!) 2. A copy of your BSA Annual Health and Medical Record, parts A&B with a copy of your insurance card front and Green Mountain Council.
