Tom Holland recently said he would love to host the Oscars next year.
While speaking with THR about the critical and commercial success of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the potential for a nomination for Best Picture, Holland admitted that he wanted to host the Oscars.

However, he is too busy to make it happen this year, as he is currently busy with promotional tours of The Crowded Room and Uncharted.

However, he said he would enjoy the opportunity because he likes being under pressure and doing things he feels uncomfortable doing.

"Maybe in the future, but honestly I'm too busy right now. I don't have time. I have an uncharted press tour, and then I start shooting in early March for this TV show (Apple TV+'s The Crowded Room) which is going to take a lot of time." me and definitely the hardest role I've ever played," Tom Holland told THR

So maybe someday. But no, not now. Honestly, I just don't have the time. And you know I would love to do that. I like that kind of thing, I like being under pressure and doing things I don't feel comfortable doing. So I'm interested, but I don't have time."

It still seems unlikely that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be nominated for Best Picture, given that the only MCU film to ever get such a nomination is Black Panther. However, Spider-Man has been present at the Academy Awards in the past.

Sam Raimi's first two films were nominated for five Oscars of them, with Spider-Man 2 winning Best Visual Effects.

Holland has proven that he has the skills needed to be a great Oscar host.

There's probably no better time for him than this year, so hopefully the folks behind the promotional tour, will see the incredible potential for Holland to host the Oscars that will materialize in the near future.
