Gareth Bale and Real Madrid : meet again in the United States

Gareth Bale is no longer a Real Madrid player, having left the club at the end of his contract on June 30 of this year.

With Los Blancos touring the United States this pre-season, though, Bale paid his former teammates a visit during their training session at UCLA on Thursday.

Bale now plays for Los Angeles FC, and he has been warmly received since landing on the west coast.

Dressed casually, Bale appeared through a back door at the complex and was spotted by his former teammates as soon as he set foot on the grass at UCLA.

He caught up with the Real Madrid players, most of all with David Alaba, Eden Hazard, and Luka Modric. The latter was the player with whom he was closest during his time in Spain.

The Welshman, who scored his first goal this week for LAFC, his new MLS club, paid a visit to his ex-colleagues from the Bernabéu in Los Angeles.

Former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale visited the team’s pre-season stage in Los Angeles and met his former teammates. Bale, who signed for Los Angeles Football Club this summer, also met coach Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff.

Now that Bale is gone and the controversy is over, it’s good to see that the Welshman and his former teammates still get along just fine. Bale’s tenure in the Spanish capital didn’t end the way it should have, but his legacy is still there and he was a crucial player during the last decade, so it seems that his relationship with the club will be normal now that the dust has settled.

Real Madrid will face Juventus in the last game of the 2022 pre-season stage this Saturday. The players will then focus on the upcoming UEFA European Supercup Final against Eintracht Frankfurt.

He only just made it, but Gareth Bale finally paid a visit his former Real Madrid teammates in Los Angeles. The Welshman appeared for the penultimate session at UCLA before Madrid’s expedition returns to Spain this Sunday. Bale, dressed entirely in grey, arrived in the afternoon and nipped into the stadium through a side door to avoid the media and headed in to where Ancelotti was directing his charges as they look forward to the European Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday 10 August, their first competitive game, with the LaLiga season getting underway the weekend after, with Real Madrid away to Almería on Sunday.

Bale now living in L.A.

Bale hadn’t been to see his former teammates since Real Madrid arrived in Los Angeles on July 19th, despite this being the city where he now plays and resides. He hadn’t been to see them at training, nor had he dropped into the Beverly Hills Hotel where they are staying. The situation had drawn more attention because his new teammate at LAFC, Giorgio Chiellini, had made the effort to meet up with his former colleagues from Juventus. However, once he was at UCLA, Bale appeared to be having a great time, especially with the veterans, and was seen laughing and joking with Benzema and Modric, among others.

Bale on his US adventure, one eye on Qatar

Bale is just starting his great adventure in the United States. As the latest star at Los Angeles Football Club, he made his debut on the victory over Nashville (1-2) and last Saturday in the 0-2 win against Sporting Kansas City he got his first goal in the MLS in the 83rd minute. Bale currently has two main goals: to stay in tip top form for his new club in LA, but also to prepare himself in the coming months so as to be in the best shape possible for the World Cup in Qatar, where he will be representing Wales.

Bale and coach Carlo Ancelotti were also very affectionate with one another, warmly embracing each other and enjoying a pleasant conversation.

Bale's new life in LA

Gareth Bale is smiling again in California, and he hopes that LAFC provide him with everything he needs to make it to the 2022 World Cup at the top of his game and in peak physical health as well.

The Welshman has been getting to know his new city recently, and he's been enjoying his summer there so far.

Bale played 18 minutes against Nashville and did reasonably well, and then scored in a 25-minute appearance against Kansas City.

The Welshman left Los Blancos this summer after nine trophy-laden years in the Spanish capital.

But it seems he hasn’t had to wait long to be reunited with his old colleagues after Madrid took their pre-season tour stateside and incidentally, to Bale’s new home, Los Angeles.

Bale visits Madrid squad

In the video shared to Real Madrid’s social accounts, Bale can be seen laughing and joking with several high-profile stars.

Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Eden Hazard, Casemiro, Eder Militao and even Carlo Ancelotti are just a few iconic characters that appear over the moon to see Bale.

Which is a truly great moment for fans of the Cardiff-born star, given the cloud of uncertainty in which he left the club.

Despite winning five Champions League titles in his time in white, it’s common knowledge that it wasn’t always smooth sailing for the star and many back in his homeland feel he’s been unfairly treated by managers and fans at times.

However, if this video is anything to go by, there’s no bad blood at all amongst the current Madrid roster.
