Chronology of Shootings on the Bintaro Toll Road

The police revealed the chronology of the shooting at the Bintaro Toll Exit, South Jakarta, which occurred on Friday, November 26, 2021, by members of the Polda Metro Jaya on behalf of Ipda OS.

"Based on the results of the current witness examination, the incident was motivated by reports from the public who felt they were threatened," said Director of General Crime Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol. Tubagus Ade Hidayat in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/30/2021).

Tubagus explained that the reporter with the initials O felt threatened because several cars had followed him since he left a hotel in Sentul, West Java.

O then contacted the police and the report was received by Ipda OS who directed the complainant to the Main Office of PJR Jaya 4 which is where Ipda OS works.

Based on the testimony of witnesses, there was a commotion at the location, but it is not yet known who started the commotion.

"Based on provisional information, there was a riot there and then a shot was heard, claiming to be from the police. Based on the information, the witness was about to be hit, then two shots were fired, hitting two victims," said Tubagus as quoted by Antara.

The shooting victims are known to have the initials PP and MA. Both victims had received treatment at the hospital, but the victim PP eventually died.

The case was subsequently handled by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya together with the Propam Division of the Police Headquarters and the Propam Bid of the Polda Metro Jaya because the incident involved members of the Police.

The police have not yet named a suspect in the case. While Ipda OS is currently still a witness.

On the same occasion, the Head of Propam Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Bhirawa Braja Paksa said his party would coordinate with the Propam Div at Polri Headquarters to check whether Ipda OS's actions were in accordance with procedures.
