The cast of "The Batman" is anxious and eager to wait for the audience's response

Actors Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz said they were both afraid and excited about the audience's response to their superhero film, "The Batman", which is based on the DC Comics character.

"I was scared and very excited at the same time, but definitely kind of intimidated," Kravitz told Reuters in an interview, quoted Tuesday.

Pattinson hopes that the premiere of "The Batman" can get a good response from the audience.

"I wish we had a press conference after the film came out. It would have been a lot easier," he added.

In this nearly three-hour film, Pattinson plays Bruce Wayne or Batman while Kravitz plays Selina Kyle or Catwoman.

The two of them will investigate a missing girl and try to find The Riddler who killed famous figures in Gotham City.

This film will also portray the politics, corruption, poverty, and crime that occur in the city.

"The way director Matt Reeves co-opted this genre and the Batman series to make it a film about Batman, but also about the world we live in, I think is brilliant," said actor Jeffrey Wright, who plays James Gordon.

In terms of costumes, Batman, played by Pattinson, is said to have a different silhouette when compared to his predecessor. In this film, he wears a much slimmer pointed-eared mask.

Although the Batman costume has an earpiece in the ear, Pattinson admits that sometimes he finds it difficult to hear the sounds around him while filming.

"Sometimes the team left walkie-talkies all over the set and I couldn't get them out myself, so I would really listen to every single thing that was going on. Sometimes Reeves would leave the microphone on and we could hear, if it was a tense scene. , his breathing will accelerate," said Pattinson.

Actor Colin Farrell who plays the character as The Penguin even spends up to four hours a day to dress up in costumes.

For information, Farrell's character will be made into a spin-off television version, which has been confirmed by Warner Bros.

"Having six to eight hours or whatever, it would be fun to explore this character because it doesn't feel like a pony in one trick," Farrell said.
