Just a few years ago it seemed like all you had to do was invest into a tech stock and if you picked a winner boom you were rich! Then it was domain names, if you thought of a good name before someone else did you buy it then turn around a few months later and make millions on it. So what is the way today?

With the explosion of iPhones it looks as if iPhone software development is the new way to get rich fast the thing about iPhone software development or in more familiar terms "Creating iPhone Apps" is that the creator needs no programming experience or background knowledge about the iPhone at all. So what do people need you ask?

Simple, all you need is a good idea and there are people that do the rest for you. You see Apple is not in the business of creating iPhone Apps at all, Apple actually wants the public to create them, they actually welcome it! Once the app you thought up makes it to the Apple site you get paid every time someone downloads it, you are talking about millions and millions of people downloading millions of apps every day, if your app is even somewhat interesting think of all the money you can make! There is a lot of information out there on the web on how to get started creating iPhone Apps but it is tough to sort between the good info and the bad.

Firstly, how did I get here? Simple, I have been bitten by the 'iPhone' bug.

So this is where it started. I wasn't much of any Apple fan, until my girlfriend persuaded me to purchase an iPod.

Before long I needed a new phone. I'd heard all about the iPhone, but I wasn't really interested.......until I actually got my hands on one. I was simply amazed at how simple it was to use, and how functional it could be. An MP3 player, a camera, an HD video camera, calendar, notepad, games (and lots of them), email.......so many apps for iPhone. And something else that I was amazed by....free apps for iPhone. This was a big difference to the old Nokia I previously used. I felt spoilt....and that was it, I was hooked.

So having had my iPhone for a number of months, I decided that this whole 'App Development' couldn't be that hard could it? I read an article about a 9-year old boy who sold nearly a million copies of his Doodle Kids App. And the iFart App that was making $10,000 a day! Come on, even I could have come up with an iFart App. I was convinced even I could develop iPhone Apps. So begins the iPhone App Development Tutorial.

Now you need to understand, when I get an idea in my head, I tend to go at it full speed with no thinking and rational.

So with no programming knowledge whatsoever, off I went to the library to find a decent programming book. Unfortunately there wasn't a great choice so I visited my local bookshop and purchased a couple of App Development books swift programming course online (managed to also grab one from the internet at a good price). I also purchased a couple of online iPhone e-book tutorials. I did find some helpful websites, but found they lacked deep meaningful information. I put this down to the author getting bored after a while! So head down, it was reading time! My next goal was to be an App Developer.

OK, I can hear you ask 'what will my App be about?'. Well, having thrown a few iPhone App ideas around, I decided to base my first App on an interest of mine, and one that I couldn't find represented within the App Store. I decided on an 'aircraft' based App. I won't be giving away too much information about it just yet as I don't want any speedy readers and experienced programmers going off and beating me to it.

I just keep saying to myself some of the best iPhone App Developers are just regular people, sitting at home in front of their computer. Hopefully this will be me as I put together some form of iPhone App Development Tutorial for all you aspiring developers!
