The Miracle And The particular Mind: Kindness

Within the next article in the series on the "miracle" and the "mind, " we will bring kindness and unkindness into the discussion about specialness. Within a Course in Wonders (ACIM), kindness is associated with humility and learning and unkindness is with arrogance and specialness. The miracle-minded obviously choose humility, learning and kindness which means they are going to eventually learn to reduce all specialness which is what keeps the separation from God. Belief in separation applies to everyone who will be the One Son perceiving Himself as individual and different broken phrases. All unkindness stems from the anxiety in the mind when we repress our fear and guilt as an alternative to forgiving our specialness desires. We all blame and task it onto others who are really a part of us in fact.

There are two textbooks by Kenneth Wapnick on, "The Recovery Power of Kindness. " Volume 1 is on, "Releasing Judgment" and Quantity 2 on, "Forgiving Our Limitations. inch In my opinion, these should be required reading and continuing study for anyone who is a critical Course pupil. The next passage affirms it all:

When you set aside the brilliant metaphysics of the Course in Wonders and its complex psychological insights, the Course could be pared down to one simple rule: Be kind. If you are not kind, then not only are you not practicing the Training course, there is no way you may also get started to understand it. No matter how brilliant knowing about it of its metaphysics may be, if you are not being kind to someone else, you are not doing what this Course is asking (The Healing Strength of Kindness, Vol. 1: Releasing View by Kenneth Wapnick, p. 10, underline mine).

Despite this admonition, we demand on being unkind:

This inability to truly practice A training course in Miracles' kind principles of forgiveness that they study, and sometimes even teach, has perhaps been the most serious failing among its students. This particular book's sequel, "Few Choose to Pay attention, " discusses how students often hide their thought approach to specialness under the guise of spiritual counseling or companionship. The absence of simple kindness is, unfortunately, unmistakable to all except the Course student making the spiritual pronouncements (The Message Associated with A Course in Miracles: All Are usually Called, p. 306).

The non-dualistic meaning of kindness are unable to be understood here within the feeling of dualism providing specialness is consistently chosen because the ego originates from an unkind thought against God and Bliss. Our unwillingness to identify this about the ego, and what everything that thought system is capable of doing, is something that hinders our progress with the Course. We must be willing to look at the self confidence with the Ay Spirit - the true Teacher - and take that darkness to Your pet for forgiveness. Absolutely nothing can be concealed and that's directly from the Training course.

Kindness To Other people Is Kindness To Self

In the books on kindness, Mr. Wapnick also talks about the source of the person's unkind behavior is the same fear (and overpowered, oppressed guilt) that is doing work in our own mind and that is what unites us. We all also have the same right-mind and the same capability to choose between them. Choosing to be kind does not make all of us different or better; rather it indicates we are willing to rehearse the "kind principles" of the Course so that we can learn to understand everything it is teaching. Is actually merely a question of priority.

He or she goes on to say that in learning how to be kind towards others, we are practicing being kind towards ourselves because, "you as well as your brother are one. They are a part of you. You are not different. " This goes directly to the heart of the ego's thought system wherein the concept of distinction is how the ego started out - God and Their Son were individual and different - and undoes it. Even the smallest hint of specialness is the self confidence. What he is saying becomes clear if you actually research and practice the kind forgiveness of the Course!

A critical student of the Course wants to know very well what this means. These students would rather be a happy learner with the only true instructor - the Ay Spirit - rather than a spiritually special teacher of the ego in any form. They are happy to study from Him how to be free of the burdens associated with denying the Truth:
