Enterprise Edition vs. Community Edition

This article will give you an insight on the two most well-known online marketing systems Odoo Community and Enterprise. Both are free, basic versions of Odoo designed to help businesses who are interested in eCommerce. The Enterprise version is more powerful than the Community version, and comes with a variety of additional features. So, what are the advantages of using these two systems? What are the benefits of each system?

Comparatively to the Community version Enterprise version comes with a few advantages, particularly for companies that have a greater number of employees. The Enterprise version has many advantages which include the ability to customize tools such as Customer Management HR and HR administration. Additionally, the software comes with Social Media and Content Management tools that can be used to improve the management of the organization's social networking activities and content.

The Enterprise version comes with advanced features including integration with Google Maps, Google Analytics, and Gmail. It has many options that make it easier for social media campaigns to be put into place. These include forums for community members and odoo crm community vs enterprise user groups which are extremely useful in boosting traffic to an organization's site. The primary benefit of using the Enterprise version is that it offers unlimitable functional support. Contrary to the community edition, this version comes with restricted features and functions. The price for the license is less than the Community edition.

However, the primary drawback to the odoo Enterprise edition's limited capabilities isn't its shortcomings. It lacks the ability automate some of the processes necessary to run an organisation. This is the primary drawback. It does not have complete social media management capabilities. It is not as attractive to smaller businesses due to its inability to support functionally, and the limitations in the number of licenses. It also lacks the features that appeal to large corporations. This is why big companies use the community version.

Another drawback of Odoo is that it comes with an application called Enterprise Manager, which is required to deploy enterprise applications. While the application can be downloaded at no cost, Enterprise Manager must be purchased in order to install it. The application is quite complicated and could deter many small companies from using the software for deployment purposes. The users of Enterprise Manager find it difficult to manage their systems within their businesses, since it is packed with complicated features. This could make some enterprise users reluctant to upgrade to a paid version of the system especially for those who do not have enough knowledge of computer software.

The third issue with the community version is that it isn't equipped with advanced features as an enterprise version like Google Maps and automated social media marketing. These modules are part of the open-source edition. They are beneficial for companies who want to expand their business options and embrace the latest trends of online marketing. The modules in the open source edition of odoo offer a clear benefit to companies that utilize it for these purposes.

The version for community use of odoo comes with a few other drawbacks, however they are less common than the disadvantages mentioned above. It is not compatible with Microsoft ERP. Certain ERP modules of the enterprise edition are known as MMC (Microsoft customer relationship management) and MRM (multi-tier product management). If you use the community version, you will struggle to integrate these modules into the enterprise edition of odoo ERP.

Small-scale companies have been using enterprise resource planning software for over five years. It's still popular. The lucrative terms of licensing are the reason for the success of the enterprise edition. On the other hand, the open source version was less successful on the market despite its outstanding features. So can there be a legitimate justification for using the free version of odoo ERP software for small enterprises? Experts agree that the answer is "No".
