Okay, we should get serious. How would you hold a handgun?
For beginners, Mike says a two-gave hold is a must.

1. The gun hand (your dominant hand) should hold the gun high on the back strap (the back strap is the rear of the grasp on the gun). This gives you more influence against the weapon which will assist you with controlling backlash when you fire the gun.

2. Place your support hand (your non-dominant hand) so that it is pressed immovably against the exposed piece of the hold not covered by the gun hand. Each of the four fingers of your support hand should be under the trigger gatekeeper with the index finger pressed hard under it. Here's Mike demonstrating for us:

As you did with your gun hand, you should put your support hand as high as possible on the hold with the thumb pointing forward, generally beneath where the slide meets the edge. Check out at the rear of your hands. There should be a distinct fit, similar to the attack of a riddle, with your gun and support hand, as so:

Assume the Drawn out Shooting PositionStand with your feet and hips shoulder width separated. Twist your knees slightly. Mike calls it an "athletic stance." It allows you to fire the weapon with stability and portability. Raise the weapon toward your objective. This is Mike showing us the way it's finished:

Step by step instructions to Point a HandgunUse your dominant eye. You need to point with your dominant eye. To sort out which of your eyes is the dominant one, perform a speedy eye test by forming a one inch circle with your thumb and index finger. Hold the circle at a manageable distance. Take a gander at a distant item and glance through your circle so that the article appears in the focal point of it. Keeping the two eyes open, bring your circle toward your face slowly. Your hand will normally incline toward one eye. That is your dominant eye.
