Renovating the Home of the Founders Parkway

The Founders Parkway is one of the most loved areas of Las Vegas. It is located between Southwestern Las Vegas Boulevard (the Paris Las Vegas Boulevard) and the Las Vegas Strip. It's home of stunning scenery, but not just the Strip. There are numerous beautiful landscaping options along the Parkway and a walking path made of wooden planks and paved that leads to Castle Rock.

The Founders Parkway's pavement design is unique as it is similar to other public works in Las Vegas. A stone bench is located at the entry point of the parkway and is surrounded by two stone columns. The bench isn't circular like other Las Vegas parksways. It is more rectangular. Concrete was used around the perimeter of the bench to create a diverse array of interesting patterns. The concrete patio is made up of six different types of concrete.

Concrete tabs make up two concrete pavers utilized in this particular design. The concrete tabs feature an identical design to the Las Vegas concrete patio. The concrete used to construct the Castle Rock section of paving is color-matched to blend in with the surroundings. However the coloring is subtle enough so that the concrete doesn't overwhelm the natural beauty found in the region.

The three remaining concrete segments of the design are constructed from large rock shapes. The large rock shapes are colored to make the rocks stand out from the concrete. The concrete used in this particular section of the project is colored in red to differentiate it from the other concrete portions located around the parkway. There are eleven different colors in total for the concrete design of this project. The designers have designed a Parkway which is totally different from the other areas of the development because of the variety of colors.

Another major change that was made to the construction of the castle-rock portion of the Las Vegas Strip was the replacement of the ground level concrete sidewalks and ramps with granite pavers. Granite pavers feature a distinctive design that is well-integrated with the surrounding. The granite pavers have distinct color patterns that blends seamlessly with the surroundings. They also make it easier for pedestrians to use and gives driveways that feel more even during rain.

The Las Vegas Strip has a covered walkway that is a design change. This walkway covers the beach's exposed roots and blocks the residents from walking on them. This design assists in preventing erosion as well as allowing rainwater to drain into the ocean. Because the concrete that is used to make the walkway is situated in the ground, there's no need to have concrete sealant applied to the surface. Instead the pavers are coated with a special waterproof material that is slip and heat resistant.

Castle Rock offers a great climate for living. The climate is semitropical, with mild winters and hot summers. The soil is sandy, and is suitable for the planting of plants. The plant species include desert flowers, desert grasses to shrubs and evergreens. The land also is sloped towards the southern part of the Strip, which results in an environment that is cooler for homes in this area of the city.

Residents can enjoy a beautiful view of the Strip from the stone picnic spot at the eastern end. You can take a break from the bustle and noise of the floor by reclining on the stone bench. Due to the stone, it is not just functional, but it is also a visually appealing experience. Stones bring the outside alive when you relax on the deck and eat lunch.
