if a customer called to assert that a member of their household was using the account

Netflix has been trialing its upcoming crackdown on password-sharing in three Latin American countries — but with limited success so far, Rest of World reports.

In April, Netflix reported its first subscriber loss in over a decade, and it said people sharing the passwords to their accounts was in part responsible.

The streaming giant started testing a stricter enforcement policy in March to prevent people from sharing passwords with people outside their "household" in…

underscoring the profound obstacles to cutting

For four years under President Donald Trump, the United States all but stopped trying to combat climate change at the federal level. Trump is no longer in office, but his presidency left the country far behind in a race that was already difficult to win.

A new report from researchers at Yale and Columbia universities shows that the United States’ environmental performance has tumbled in relation to other countries — a reflection of the fact that, while the United States squandered…

10 policemen had been waiting for him

Injured South Korean fighter back from Ukraine faces investigation

A South Korean volunteer fighter returned home from Ukraine on Friday saying he had to recover from injuries and was ready to face a police investigation on suspicion of breaking the law by defying a government ban on travel to Ukraine.

Volunteers from around the world have flocked to Ukraine to help it fight Russian forces that invaded on Feb. 24. Russia calls its action in Ukraine a "special…

Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp were flying off the cliff of their little-kid years

In the first season of Stranger Things, being 12 years old was a moment of suspension in air. Mike and Dustin and Lucas and Will (Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp) were flying off the cliff of their little-kid years, feeling the ground no longer under them. They were old enough to be alone together, young enough to want their parents, old enough to keep secrets, and young enough to fear straying too far. They were children until they saw monsters, and the…

63 Republican members of the House of Representatives

McConnell, Schumer unite in face of GOP nationalism

Democratic and Republican U.S. Senate leaders introduced a resolution on Monday backing Sweden and Finland's bids to join NATO, underscoring support for expanding the alliance despite growing nationalism in the Republican party.

It will take a two-thirds majority in the 100-member Senate to approve the expansion of the alliance, requiring "yes" votes from at least 17 Republicans along with every Democrat.

Many U.S.…

Gould added that after scouting the house

The season six premiere showcases Saul's house, which was never shown on "Better Call Saul." You may have gotten emotional at the start of the episode, thinking that Saul eventually purchased the dream house that he and Kim looked at, but it wasn't.

On the "Better Call Saul Insider" podcast, the creative team reveals that the original plan was to use the same house.

"Our original idea in the writer's room was that this would be the house that Jimmy and Kim looked at — the empty…

Kim Wexler’s takeaway

“Axe and Grind” begins a bit differently, though it ends on a similar note. We are back in Nebraska, only this time Kim is the one in trouble, rather than her mom. She has been caught shoplifting a pair of earrings from Svensen’s department store. This is wildly out of character for her as a girl, which even the store manager, Mr. Pearson, can tell. Kim’s squeaky-clean presentation, along with Pearson being charmed by (and/or attracted to) her mom, gets her out of the jam. And her mom even…

no viable alternative path

White House COVID-19 coordinator Dr. Ashish Jha issued a dire warning Thursday that the U.S. will be increasingly vulnerable to the coronavirus this fall and winter if Congress doesn't swiftly approve new funding for more vaccines and treatments.

In an Associated Press interview, Jha said Americans' immune protection from the virus is waning, the virus is adapting to be more contagious and booster doses for most people will be necessary — with the potential for enhanced protection…

junior senator from Kentucky's remarks

Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul defied leaders of both parties Thursday and single-handedly delayed until next week Senate approval of an additional $40 billion to help Ukraine and its allies withstand Russia's three-month old invasion.

With the Senate poised to debate and vote on the package of military and economic aid, Paul denied leaders the unanimous agreement they needed to proceed. The bipartisan measure, backed by President Joe Biden, underscores U.S. determination to…

Hope, to be the one who lives

War was not the only thing brewing this week; love bubbled to the surface.

On Legacies Season 4 Episode 17, we got doused in romance. Nearly every character was somehow entangled with the likes of a lover.

With all its heartfelt moments, this episode felt like the beginning of the end, storylines starting to tie themselves up, though there's still much to be sorted.

We sadly did not see Jed this week, so his relationship with Ben wasn't mended. I fear reconciliation…

her way up the back stairs of her stately mansion

here is a scene in the second episode of Antonio Campos’s coolly ferocious new mini-series The Staircase (May 5) that haunts everything that comes after. It is a suggestion that the much-publicized 2001 death of wealthy Durham, North Carolina business executive Kathleen Peterson was, as her husband Michael Peterson still insists, an accident.

We watch as the actor playing Kathleen, Toni Collette, heads back inside the house after a night of gentle carousing with Michael (Colin Firth)…

Until now, the ‘Halo’ TV series had been everything

The official synopsis for the upcoming Episode is currently unavailable, but there’s quite a bit we can see of it in the official promo that dropped a day ago. With the title “Inheritance,” the show seems to be pivoting to a story on the sidelines involving Kwan Ha. The fans haven’t exactly been positively receptive to the character.

It does raise some questions as to why the show is diverting its focus on Kwan instead of Chief. With only three more installments to go in the First…

Moon Knight's situation is far different from WandaVision's

Marvel shows on Disney+ have largely delivered great finales so far. Final episodes have given us the first appearance of Sam Wilson as Captain America, He Who Remains warning Loki and Sylvie about the incoming Kang the Conqueror, and the Watcher forced to intervene against an Infinity Stone-powered Ultron.

Marvel Studios is will soon bring the sixth and final episode of Moon Knight, the MCU's sixth full series on Disney+ and the first new project of 2022. After five episodes of…

A final and rather major indicator that Arthur's Ammit link doesn't actually make sense

Rumors of a second season for Moon Knight took Twitter by storm after an eagle-eyed fan spotted a very important change to a promotional tweet made by Marvel.

Twitter user kellie_dixon shared two screenshots of the Marvel Studios tweets promoting the upcoming sixth episode of Moon Knight, pointing out that Marvel changed the description from "the epic series finale" to "the epic season finale" — possibly signalling that viewers will get a second season of the Oscar Isaac-led show…
