French Open final: Djokovic one set away from 23rd Grand Slam title

People now think that they are about to watch history, and they are expecting it to happen in this set.

Ruud is doing a few different things and trying to get back into this match. A lot more slice backhands, coming forward more and hitting some stunning volleys.
With Novak missing that break point and getting frustrated, Casper saw the momentum maybe start to shift there.

Casper is still holding strong here and there's a lot to play for. I'd like to see him take a little bit more risk on the Djokovic serve.
Not this time for Novak Djokovic. He had a break point but can't convert it and Casper Ruud escapes with a hold.

Novak Djokovic is looking to wrap this up and do so soon. A blistering forehand finds the line with Casper Ruud nowhere. Break point for Djokovic.
This feels like a coronation is not too far away and if Ruud isn't careful it will begin to feel like a procession.

It's a bit flat with not many people believing Ruud has the skills to get back into this one with Novak Djokovic in such delightful form.

However, he does manage to win a game at the start of the third set with an ace included in a hold to 30.
